Fuyao Glass Industry Group Co., Ltd. ( “Fuyao Group” or “FYG” for short) was founded in Fuzhou, China, in 1987. We are one of the world's largest automotive safety glass manufacturer. With over 30 years in development, Fuyao Group now boasts a number of modern production facilities throughout 16 provinces and cities in China as well as 9 additional overseas production facilities , including the United States, Russia, Germany, Japan, and South Korea. We further complement our production facilities with 6 R&D centers in China, the United States and Germany, employing over 26,000 employees worldwide.

Fuyao’s products are recognized by the world’s top automobile manufacturers, such as Audi, Bentley, BMW, Chrysler, GM, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, GM, Toyota, and Volkswagen, by providing superior OEM service globally as well as customized solutions for automotive glass. Fuyao is also able to supply OEM equivalent ARG products to the aftermarket industry. More than 180 million units of Fuyao-produced automotive glass are installed into new vehicles, and over 15 million units and growing are used for replacement services each year.

Fujian Yahua Glass Industry Co., Ltd. was established with 150,000 units annual a production capacity.
1989
Started to export auto glass for Hong Kong replacement market.
First piece of OEM glass produced (Guangzhou Peugeot)

Exported automotive replacement glass to TCG International Inc. in Canada
1993
IPO and publicly listed in Shanghai Stock Exchange (600660)
The subsidiary company Fuyao Group (Hong Kong) Limited was founded, and started exporting auto glass to the overseas market.
1994
Expanding overseas market by setting up Green Yun Glass Co. in USA, which was responsible for auto glass sales in North America
1995
ISO9002 Quality Management System was certified.
The company was restructured and renamed as “Fuyao Glass Industry Group Co. Ltd” (Fuyao Group or FYG).
2000
Fuyao Changchun Auto Glass was set up in North East China, the first manufacturing plant outside the home province of Fujian.
2002
Canadian International Trade Tribunal ruled that sales of Fuyao glass in Canada did not constitute a dumping, resulting in winning the first anti-dumping case after China’s entry into WTO
2005
Officially entered into the international high-end OEM market by signing supply agreement with Audi Europe.
2006-2008
Set up subsidiaries in Germany, Korea, Japan and the US, providing both sales and customer serviced support in these markets.
2007
Established a national auto glass production network including Fujian, Changchun, Shanghai, Chongqing , Guangzhou and Hubei.
2009
Global market share reached 15%, with sales reaching 100 million units of auto glass in 2009
Chairman Cho Tak Wong stood out among other representatives from 43 countries and regions from around the world and was awarded with the “Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur of the Year”, becoming the first Chinese winner for the prize.
2011
Established Fuyao Russian Plant, the first auto glass manufacturing plant outside of China
2013
First phase of Russian Automotive Glass plant was completed and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev sent a congratulatory message.

Purchased PPG’s Float Glass Plant in Mt. Zion, IL USA, and upgraded the production lines
2015
H-share IPO at Hong Kong Stock Exchange (3606)
Dayton plant produced its first piece of glass, which was collected by the local museum
Fuyao Illinois (US) Float Project was put into production and started to supply float glass

Fuyao Europe laid the foundation and set up 4 R&D centers in March.
“Super Plant” that integrates the R&D, production and sales of automotive glass and other related products started construction in Suzhou in September.
